Melanie McKibbin – Business Development, Technical Lead and Office Manager

Melanie brings to our team a strong business background in sales, marketing, management and development. She is charged with coordinating day-to-day business matters, web support, accounting operations, presentation preps, client outreach, and the development of new business. Melanie contributes to all aspects of our work.


Will Hughes – Chef, Test Kitchen Manager and Business Development

A graduate of Johnson and Wales University, Will has a wealth of experience in the culinary world. His accomplishments include being the Executive Chef of English Turn Country Club in New Orleans, Executive Chef/Owner of a catering restaurant winning “Best of Baldwin“ and a culinary instructor winning “Chef of the Year”. Will was guest chef on “Bizarre Foods America” and a featured chef in Paula Deen Magazine, Southern Living and Mobile Bay Monthly. Will is also a private chef traveling from North Carolina and Florida to Vail, Colorado.

Sylvia Vollmer – Kitchen Assistant

With duties such as food procurement, mise en place and critiquing the finished product, Sylvia helps to keep the kitchen responsibilities in orderly motion. In her “spare time”, Sylvia makes handmade tamales from her grandmother’s recipe and sells them in the downtown markets of Mobile, Alabama. Her baking talents allow her to create everything from simple desserts, such as flan, to elaborate wedding cakes. Sylvia continues the long tradition of family chefs inspired by her Italian and Latin heritage.


Valerie Uteg – Thigpen Photography – Print Archivist, Pilot, and Photographer

Shortly after graduating with a BS in Marine Biology from Spring Hill College, Valerie followed her love of photography. Since 1998, she has been involved in photography, from film processing and printing to all aspects of commercial, architectural and aerial photography. Valerie’s patience and trained eye for detail has been crucial in our food and prop styling and has allowed us to produce food photography of the highest quality.
